Quilt Show... Part 2

There were so many pretty quilts at the show I went to last week.Oops, how did that get in there?
Actually, the lady seated on the far left is my great great-aunt. The only man in the photo was her 3rd husband (she outlived the other two), and he was the mayor of their very small town. I sure wish I'd inherited that quilt!
I shared some of them in the last post, but I wanted to show a few more.
Very beautiful quilts. I wish my photos were a little better.A couple of summertime quilts.I love this "window" quilt! This was in a narrow hall, so I couldn't get a good shot of the whole quilt together, I had to take two photos. Last but not least, a little bit of sibling love! Ha Ha, do you see the hand in the back holding up my daughter's hair? There was actually a little bit of tickling and hair pulling going on here. They look so innocent too, don't they?Have a wonderful day!
Blessings,
Marcia

Yowza! There's an overflow of talent at those shows, isn't there? My favorites are the window quilt, the fourth frame from the bottom and that last one! Now, that last one is REAL art!

I've inherited some quilts from my mother-in-law and my grandmother. They are in a chest but I get them out every now and then to admire the designs and stitching. They are mostly traditional patterns made with leftover fabric swatches and not as artsy and color coordinated as modern ones but a treasure just the same.

Hi Marcia,
I am so very happy to meet you. I love your blog. You probably read that I have six children as well, although mine, all but one, are now grown and on their own (if there is such a thing) I loved being the mother of a large family. That's where all the joy in my life comes from.

Wow! Those are gorgeous! The time that must go into those show quilts! Love the snow pics of your children on the side, there - One Christmas we had two children loose a tooth on Christmas eve, then one lost a tooth on Christmas day-that was an exciting year!

Hi Marcia! Oh, these quilts are so lovely! My mother and grandmother wer quilters - just simple block style - but cherished none the less! How nice seeing the olden photo with your relatives!
Love your last photos with all those sweet little smiles.
Oh, Dear One, you humble me! I am so not a professional decorator! I usually am not very sure about what I'm doing - I just piddle! Thank you so much for saying that though :)

I love the quilt that is in two pictures...the year round one. What pattern is that from? Or is it from the Stroll the Block website? Looks so familiar.

Checked it out and yes it was Stroll The Block BOM Quilt from many years ago. I have the pattern! Yahoo! Thanks for sharing the pictures of the quilt show. It is so inspiring to see so much talent.
