Relaxing and Widgets

I'd like to share a favorite site of mine. It's called SnowmanCam. It's a 24 hour a day streaming video located in Northern Michigan. Over the past year we've seen deer, raccoons, bears, squirrels, birds, etc., come and visit these feeders. We just pop in once or twice a day, and if there is wildlife there, we watch. Okay, maybe we're easily entertained, but we love it. Thanks to Shelley at Building A Log Cabin for introducing me to this site last year. If you haven't visited her beautiful blog, you need to. She is a wonderful photographer and you'll love her cabin.

I'd also like to let everyone know about Google's translator for your blog. It's a widget that you add and it enables your blog to be translated into many languages, which makes it easier for someone from another country to read. It's easy to add (it has to be for me to be able to do it). I'm also able to use the translator to read foreign blogs. Here's the link Google Translate -Tools. You can see how it works right here on my blog. It's on the right, under my header. Just select a language and translate.

I hope you all had a Wonderful Christmas. We were very blessed this year. We had all of our family home, and everyone was well. I did get to spend Dec. 23rd at Urgent Care with a young son who split open his head and had to have a few stitches. That wasn't in my plans, but he's no worse for the wear. It's just another way to tell the twins apart :-) My ongoing line, "I told you someone was going to get hurt", might have a little more meaning now, too!

It's nice to have this coming week to relax and take my time putting away the Christmas decorations. I'm like some of you, and keep some of the winter things out, but I like to get most things put away before we start back with our homeschooling next week.

Have a wonderful and relaxing week.
Blessings,
Marcia

Stitches are no fun! :( Sorry 'bout those, but glad it helps to identify the kiddies! :)
Most of my Christmas is put away alerady and the big tree comes down today. A few winter pieces remain and we've gotten a light dusting of snow here, so I'm feelin' winter in a big way! :) Love it!

Oooo stitches! Not fun. Glad that was the worst of it, though.

Enjoy your low key week...

I'll have to check out that live streaming link. We used to watch one at the National Zoo. The kids loved it!

Love that little snowman thing. So cute. It seems like when my kids were little we always had some kind of disaster on holidays. Comes with having kids I guess. Glad you had a great Christmas. Mimi

That cam is so cool, it looks a lot like our place! Marcia, I am glad your son is ok, my son had a head full of stitches one Christmas many moons ago and I remember that trip to the ER. I love your blog background, so lovely! Happy New Year too, Cindy

Hi Dear Marcia, So glad you and your family had a wonderful Christmas. The snowman cam is awesome. I meant to add a translate-tool to my blog last year, but then forgot all about it. Perhaps now I can get it added. Thanks for your thoughts during the past year. I know without a doubt it has been the thoughts, prayers, and love of my friends that have enabled me to continue on when I thought I couldn't take the next breath. ♥

Stitches, bumps and bruises are part and parcel of childhood, particularly little boys! It's like hazing, right?

Have a great week! Happy New Year!

I know that my 12 year old girl would love to look at the snowman and "friends"! She watches a wolf den sometimes and just loves it!
I'm going to be "Mean" mom today and have her do some school work for me. They just received a Wii for Christmas and that is all they have done. I was sick for several weeks and we got somewhat behind in school work so.....well, she's working on history!!
You have very nice blog!
I hope your son recovers well from his stitches! My son had stitches from sledding several years ago. He cut his mouth open. No, he hasn't had any trouble using his mouth since then. Sometimes I think they should have stitched it....SHUT!! haha! He's really a good young man!

So happy to hear you had such a great Christmas and that you had all your family together. Hope your little guy is okay now. Stitches at Christmas time, not so good.
I put the snowman cam on my favorites, but haven't seen anything yet. Do I have to do something?
Loved the Log Cabing site. Will go back to read when I have more time. Beautiful home.
I'm glad you liked my little bags. They are about 7" tall and 12" wide. I am thinking about making a bigger version too.
Hope your New Year is as good as your Christmas.
I haven't even thought about taking down decorations yet.

Hi, Marcia...I have nearly all of my decorations packed away and back in the attic for another yr. I did leave a few things out...I'm having a NYEve party and wanted it to look festive and holidayish..:O)

Regarding the frame on my snow picture....I use photoscape.com for all my effects. Heck, I use this site every single day..to darken or lighten a photo, to resize it, there must be a thousand things you can do with photos there. Very easy to use, free....try it, you might like it!!
