Vintage Love Mantel Party

I've been kind of under the weather this week and didn't get around to visit your wonderful blogs. I'm so sorry. I've missed you all. I'm one of those people who get migraine headaches, and I've had a doozy this week, so looking at the computer screen was just something I couldn't do. God is good though, and His grace is sufficient. I'm also blessed with two wonderful daughters who took care of many things around the house for me this week. Thank you girls! I'm linking to Mantel Party hosted by Beth at The Stories of A to Z again this week. I had fun participating in it a couple of weeks ago. Beth says it can be doesn't have to be a mantel, and I'm still enjoying my white and silver mantel, so I decided to show my piano top.Nothing fancy here, but I've added a little Spring color and some framed vintage Valentines. In fact, I see my roses above are showing their "fake" side, but that's the reality around here, so I'll let you see it too :-) And yes, those are Disneyland silhouettes of my children up above the piano. Also, to go along with the "Love" theme, and because I like to decorate with vintage books, I've included one that I bought several years ago because I liked the cover photo and title :-)
Isn't she pretty, and isn't that an interesting title?

Have a wonderful weekend.
Blessings,
Marcia

Sorry you have not felt well this week, Marcia. I thought something was up as I was watching for a new post.
I noticed that book right away in the first picture. I love it. So perfect for a Valentines vignette. Wonder if it is a good story.
Saw you visited me tonight. I am posting something different, so won't have the mantel up for the party. It's been there a while.
I really have to get over my fear of linking with a party. I will soon I hope.
Please feel better soon. You were missed.

Hope you are feeling better. My kids get migraines and wind up throwing up then sleeping it off. My older son is growing out of it but my 11 year old still sometimes gets them. Not as frequently as when they were younger. Your piano top is decorated so beautifully. Lots of pretty things here, even the not so real flowers. :) Take care! Blessings for your weekend, Tammy

I hope you are getting better, Marcia and can send my sympathies as I also suffer from migraines and they leave me with such a woozy feeling in my head. I have to stay off coffee and find that helps.
I love your piano top arrangement too as it's pretty and feminine - soft for the eyes to enjoy!
Best wishes
Christine

Sorry about the migraine. I used to suffer, usually at weekends or during holidays, but since I retired 18 months ago I haven't had one attack. Glad you are feeling better and appreciating the beauty you have around you.

Hi Marcia,
I am sorry to hear about your migraine. Have you ever tried the herb feverfew? I have heard that it helps to prevent migraines.

What a lovely family you have. Six kids with twins. You are blessed!

Thank you for visiting my new blog. It's been the best adventure and I have enjoyed meeting such wonderful new friends. I have bookmarked your site and will stop by again.

Marcia, do migraines sometimes make you have pain in your jaw? May be a silly question but someone said it's possible and since I've had tight muscles on my right side and a slight headaches, I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask an "expert". Glad you are feeling better.

Love,
Gloria

Oh dear Marcia! I am so sorry you had a major migraine. You are blessed with your two daughters indeed.

Love your piano top! As you know, I have a feddish for silhouettes so I loved seeing yours. And another feddish...vintage books. Wow! That is a beauty and quite a find. The cover is very Valentine's. It takes center stage in a lovely vignette.

Hugs ~

Hope you are feeling BETTER Marcia.
My mother suffered terribly with migraines as I grew up...finally, when she stopped eating chocolate or anything with chocolate in it...they subsided.
