Spring Day in the Desert

This is our local view. It was taken from the parking lot of Target. We've been planting flowers today and getting the vegetable garden ready too. This is the time of year when I really enjoy living in the desert. I hope you're having some beautiful Spring weather too.

Thanks everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes for my mom.
:-)
Blessings,
Marcia

  1. Amazing view! We won't be planting this weekend, we're expecting a snow storm Saturday & Sunday.

  2. Just beautiful! I wish our desert was so lovely to look at. We are having a dust storm. Sky is a grayish white and everything is grimy and covered in a layer of dust. That includes inside the house too. Yuck! Have a great weekend. Many blessings, Tammy

  14. Marcia, what a view. I used to have that view when we lived by the mountains. However, as we moved further inland my view is of the never ending ocean of fields.

Hope your first day of spring is a good indicator of the rest of the year.

  28. Beautiful picture Marcia. It is spring like around here too. Feels so good to be outdoors. I'm off right now to put finishing touches on the front flowerbeds. I hope to get some herbs in containers on the back patio this weekend.
What vegetables do you plant? I always wanted to have tomatoes.
Hope you show us some pictures of your flowers.

  29. I saw you at Creekside Cottage and decided to stop by. You had left a comment about my sewing with Mrs. Rabe. Yes, I am the one who worked in a sewing factory but never sewed with a pattern. You see, in the sewing factory, the pieces are already cut before the person who sews gets them, and then she only sews one operation on the garment and it is passed through several ladies before it is completed. I was very good at sewing. They moved me around to many different operations because of my skill, so I could put an entire garment together. However, we also had different machines for different operations.

By the way, I love the view you see. I, too, love this time of year, and we are getting ready to plant our first vegetable garden.
