Bird Days

 I enjoy watching birds.
King of the Hill...
I read recently that this was a sign of getting older.
Waiting in line..."My turn to be "King!"
I'm in trouble :-)
Are you my mother?
I like to come up with captions too :-)
I noticed that birds of a feather,
 really do flock together...

I thought it was interesting that they seemed to segregate themselves on land,
but when they took flight...
 They would soar all together!
This paints a beautiful picture,
and perhaps...
we can all learn a little lesson
 From the birds :-)
Have a blessed Sunday!
Marcia

Wonderful post! :) Love these pics and the captions you came up with for them.
And no, I don't think it's a sign of growing old. I think it's a sign of slowing down and learning to appreciate the lessons in the beauty all around us. :) So, good for you!

Maybe it's just as we get 'older' we know enough to slow down and notice what's around us! Kind of like little kids do!

Havy a wonderful day!

I love birdwatching, Marcia. And I enjoyed looking at your beautiful photos. Loved your captions, too. Yes, we can learn lessons from these little creatures.

Hope you have a blessed weekend.

Blessings!

I am definitely "getting older" because I love watching the birds :)

Your photos are excellent as well as the captions going with them. My favorite is that flock of seagulls "soaring"!

Maybe that's where the expression came from, "Look at THAT old bird"...and they are talking about ME! Nice photos and I like your captions too;>) Hugs- Diana

Well darn if that is a sign then I am getting old too. I can sit and watch birds all of the time and I like nothing better than watching them at the beach. Lovely pictures by the way.

I appreciate & watch the birds more too... pelicans in particular for some reason. Lovely shots & great observations :-)

What a great post Marcia. Funny captions... lol! I love watching birds, too. I guess it goes hand in hand with gardening. :)
Happy Sunday!

I'm in FLA for a week and I always love watching the birds on the beach. Some of them walk so fast on those two little legs. I also love how they fly over the water and suddenly dive in for food. Yeah, birds are interesting! Nice pictures...

I ditto exactly what Mrs. Rabe said -- she took the words right out of mouth. Blessings to you and yours! :) Tammy

Well I am getting older and I am watching the birds more too. I had a conversation with an african bird on Friday at the zoo. I don't think anyone pays attention to the birds at the zoo so this bird was overly excited that I said hello to him.

I often like to hang out by myself, just like that single bird sitting in the sand; but I do enjoy an outing with a group, too. Just like the multitude of birds that took off together. Indeed, a nice little lesson....

It's not a sign of getting older...I have loved watching them since I was a little girl sitting up in the tree! ;D

BEAUTIFUL photos! What a wonderful post, I am inspired to do some bird watching now. We were outside watching the leaves fall yesterday, they were coming down almost like rain. Such a pretty sound. I guess that means there may not be too many birds around here left to watch. Fair weathered friends- they are! :)
Blessings!

I grew up in San Diego and watching the sea gulls was a favorite pass time of mine as a kid - as long as they didn't fly over my head and leave me a "gift."
