White Wednesday { with a little red } :-)

Our house has a red and white color scheme this Christmas.
Toy wagons and painted pinecones have found a place,
ribbon is piled up ready to wrap gifts...
snowflakes are showing up everywhere,
and a few more little songbirds have joined us...
along with a couple of my children's pipe cleaner candy canes :-)

A few other colors have found their way in...
I do love old books :-)
This beautiful "Joyeux Noel" picture was created by
Aubrey over at White Market.

We also have a few rules around here to help things run a bit more smoothly...
and a nice place to snuggle too.
We're definitely getting ready for Christmas around here :-)
{and still wishing for a little snow}.
My giveaway is open until midnight Dec. 15th,
You can enter {here}.
Stop by and see all of the other White Wednesday posts at Faded Charm :-)

I am so loving your red and white scheme for Christmas.
The 21 rules of the house is wonderful and oh so true.
I love the pillow, it looks to say Kansas City on it. My home town, well actually I am from Independence but it all runs together.
Also loved your red and white bells in the previous post.
Your blog is just so beautiful.
Have a wonderful Christmas.

Hi Marcia,

I've just seen that you have six children! I'm one of seven children - six boys and me, the only girl! I've so loved being part of a big family.

Your children look completely gorgeous, by the way.

And I'm liking your house rules! Do your children listen to them?!

Hello Marcia,
I love your white post, very charming and pretty. I am in love with the pillow at the end of your post.

I also wanted to add, that I like your "house rules" did you write that up yourself?
Blessings once more and always~

Everything looks so well co-ordinated and PEACEFUL!! How do you do that in a house with 6 kids etc?
Must be everyone has learnt to obey the house rules! I think they are so wisely chosen!

We share a love of old books Marcia! I just decorated my sideboard with only my red vintage books in my book rack and lots of what we call here 'poor man's silver' or 'farmer's silver'. I cannot imagine not have some old books place around the house no matter what the season. I love looking at the titles of other people's books too on the blogs.

Your red and white theme for the holidays is so fresh and pretty.

Hugs from Holland ~

Marcia, This post is lovely and ethereal! Love all the whites with that little touch of red. I've never seen that 21 rules of the house before- can it be found somewhere where I can read it in its entirety? I hope you and your family enjoy a blessed Christmas together. hugs, Sue
