Hot Tea Days :-)

Hot tea and a good book always seem to go together. This week they've
been at my side often. I woke up Monday morning with a sore throat and
cold that has kept me inside and bundled up most of the week.
I tried not to, but unfortunately, I shared it with members of my family.
So it's hot tea and bed rest for them too :-)
Thank you so much to Molly at the beautiful blog Birdie Blue, for noticing my absence.
Your sweet comment meant so much to me.
I'm sorry I didn't get around to answering any comments this week, but
thank you to everyone for your sweet words of encouragement.
I'll be around to visit again soon :-)
The teacup is a favorite of mine from my little collection.
Don't you just love those turquoise polka dots?
Valentine's Day is coming up, and this little "Courtship of Miles Standish" book
seems like a perfect read for that...
a famous old poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
I love the *pretty lady* images on these beautiful old books.
Too see more Friday Pretties visit Joyce at I Love Pretty Little Things.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings,
Marcia

  5. So sorry you have been sick. I woke up yesterday with a sore throat and cold. Felt a little better this morning but a little worse tonight. I am drinking Elderberry and loads of vitamin C. A good cup of hot tea is on the menu tonight before bed.

  9. I hope you continue to feel better!! I have this house on a vitamin regement every day, along with homemade soups cooked and frozen, ready to go for the next sick day (I especially do this for myself, since I am the only one who cooks and don't really feel like cooking when I am sick!). I wish I was closer to bring you some homemade chicken noodle soup! Love the tea cup!

  14. Hi Marcia, hope you feel better soon. Colds seem to be making their way around and back again. Must be the weather. For us, it hasn't quite gotten cold enough to kill anything off. Has been hazy for days without much sun. Everything just kinda settles in the air on days like this. My throat started with that scratchy irritated feeling yesterday. So far nothing else. That book is so beautiful and your teacup so sweet. Take care and continue to bundle up. Best wishes, Tammy

  43. So sorry you have not been feeling well. However to treat yourself to a cup of tea in that teacup along with gazing through that beautiful vintage book is worth it. I just love vintage books as you know and this is one of the most beautiful I have seen. We do not have many places where we can buy vintage books and then they have become so expensive too.

I am a big tea drinker. I love to take time to have tea but just seem to skip it all too often. Last year, I had wanted to start making it part of my regular day with taking a real break and using my good tea set. Perhaps I can make that a priority this year. It is so good for us to do these little things for ourselves.

Hope you are feeling better soon!

    Hugs from Holland ~
