Turquoise Pin-head Map Love

The Pinterest offer a few months ago seemed to come with a catch,
I needed a facebook or twitter account to sign up. I know everyone has one already,
but I'm a bit behind the times, just ask my kids ;-)
Finally, this past weekend, I joined facebook, which meant I could join Pinterest too.
It's probably not the best idea to join two social networks on the same weekend :-)
I'm a bit lost on both, but muddling through, and I've definitely become a
Pinterest *Pin-head*, even if I'm not a very good Facebook *Friend* yet :-)
Here's my *Simple Summer Home* mood board
(in case you want to take a peek).

I've been looking at map photos (among many other things)....can you tell?
These photos are some of my pins,
and you can learn how to make those pretty coasters at the top of the post *here*.
Aren't they perfect for summer ?
Have a wonderful weekend my friends.
Blessings,
Marcia

  1. Old maps are beautiful. We have a map over the coast where we live where they show where you can find old shipwrecks (for divers)... kind of exciting;-)

  2. You are not alone Marcia. No Twitter, no Facebook and even no cell phone here... I think I am the only woman here in Luxembourg without a cell phone!

    Wishing you a wonderful day.

  3. Hi Marcia, you are ahead of me. I have no interest in Facebook or Twitter and if I have to join one to sign up for something else, then count me out. I get more than enough inspiration from blogland and many days don't even have time for it. Have a great weekend. Tammy

  4. I LOVE those coasters! Are they cute,or what? I hope you have fun on FBook- We can't join because of my daughter-in-loves job with the government. Oh well- I guess I don't need one more place to post anyway! xo Diana

  7. Hi marcia, I have a facebook account and seldom go on it as I really don't care for the fragmented thoughts .
i checked Pininterest and when I was asked to allow them to go in my photos, I declined because I have other people in my photos. I don't know where all this sharing of information will endup. I guess I'm not trusting enough. I love the map decor though. have aa blessed day. JB

  8. I have a FB account, and like to go on the see what is up with my family, though I don't post very often. It is good for that purpose, but watch out you don't get sucked in playing the games...they can take up your time. I love those coasters!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! :)

  9. OH!! Very dreamy! :) I LOVE that last photo...wish it was really a corner in my home! :)

Have fun with your new accounts. My hubby and I joined FB last Fall (due to family pleading with us to). It is hard keeping up with all of it! I try to for my family though...:) Enjoy, and happy weekend to you!

    xoxo...Gloria

  11. FB isn't all that it's hyped up to be! I do have an account, I don't just "like" all the companies that advertise to "like" them, for a coupon or deal- I don't want them knowing that much about me! I hardly ever post, mostly just a picture here and there... Don't feel bad, and remember not to share too much about yourself, like full birthday, maiden names, schools attended etc- there are people out there ready to prey...

  14. Such lovely photos, Marcia! I love pinterest, it's so nice to be have a place to collect inspiration images. The nice thing is that they link to the place where you found them, so it's easy to save a photo from a tutorial that you love and find it back later, for example.
I really love maps too - in fact, I added one of the photos you used to one of my own pin boards. :) Thanks for sharing.
