It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas

This past week has flown by. We've been to a Christmas party, we've gone Christmas shopping, we've been to visit Santa, and tonight we were at at Christmas Craft Faire. Along with that, we've had school, visited grandparents, been to appointments, started decorating, etc., etc., etc.
I haven't blogged this week, or for that matter had a chance to catch up on everyone else's blogs either, but I'm going to try and do that this weekend. I thought I'd share a few photos of what we've been doing.I love old postcards, so I decorate with them when I can.My friend Angela made these trees (I have a whole grove, in various sizes), and the rustic sign too. I love them. I purchased this nativity set at a local vintage shop. It's missing the wise men, but it included the creche. It's quite large, and was very inexpensive too. I loved that!

I'm going to a quilt show tomorrow with my friend Jill at Bailiwick Designs (a wonderful blog)! It's in my favorite little mountain town of Wrightwood. I'll try and take some photos and bring them back to share.
Blessings,
Marcia

  6. Good Morning Marcia,
I had to hop on over here after reading your comment on my blog to see your Nativity. I love it and the Creche too. I only have one nativity and it is small. I have always wanted to find another one, but because I wanted just the perfect one have passed up many I should have bought. But your's is perfect.

  7. The kids all look cute with Santa! I love vintage cards - the illustrations are always so charming and much nicer than modern cards. Love the glitter framed one!

  8. Marcia, since the wisemen were not really there the night Jesus was born, it might be a good thing they were missing! :D

I don't remember exactly when in my Christian growth I learned that fact but it was a surprise. Maybe it was when I started really reading my Bible! Still, I have a collection of manger scenes and most have the wise men there.

  16. I love your nativity scene. I put mine away for a few years as I thought it was lost without the wise men (we had an accidental decapitation of one of them, which I finally fixed).

Don't worry about not blogging for a week. I often have to do that due to 1 computer, 2 computer literate children and 1 IT techie working for home.

PS I just found your blog and I already am enjoying it.

  17. Your decorations are pretty and express your personality, I am sure.
The tree your friend made is very creative, and of course I love the nativity scene you show, plus I do love a bargain, too.
I wrote a book on celebrating Christmas and am giving away a children's Christmas book on my blog, today, so you know I love this season.
