Songbird

I found this little birdie at Target on Saturday,
she was the very last one...
She only cost $1...
that made me smile.
I sat her on my mantel, but it's a little crowded there,
so she thought it might be better if she had her own cage ;-)
I copied some vintage Christmas music and put it on the bottom of the cage...
{she is a "songbird" after all}
I sat her on a tiny nest,
made a little silver rose, and a "Joyeux Noel" sign
attached to a corsage pin...
a little ribbon at the top
and now she's singing like a lark :-)
It was a simple little craft...
the kind I like best :-)
She's joining Joyce for Friday Pretties,
 Courtney for Feathered Nest Friday,
and Donna for Saturday Nite Special.

I hope that you can too.
Blessings,
Marcia

  26. So cute!!! You should find more little birdies and sell them or make them as Christmas gifts, who wouldn't love a pretty little bird who doesn't need the paper in his cage changed :)

  56. Marcia,
It was a perfect find (that little paper song bird)
Can you believe how even Target is on the up and up with altered art, and book art! I think the paper on the bottom of the cage is perfect, and if anyone has ever owned a bird in there time has placed paper on the bottom of their cages.

I think it deservingly should have linked up and joined the girls in showing it off :)

It will look great as part of your Christmas, next to the tree decor. Will see you soon, keep inspiring paper and your found passion.
    xx
