Disneyland and "Tours Departing Daily"

We had passes to Disneyland for two years. We went there alot. It's such a wonderful place. There are many reasons it is called "the happiest place on Earth". We haven't been back in about 2 years now, and I'm ready for passes again. The photo above wasn't taken by me. It is from the blog of a friend of my son's. This blog, called Tours Departing Daily, has the most incredible Disneyland photos, done in something called HDR, which I can't begin to understand, but I am awed by the results. Disneyland is a perfect place for this type of photo because the colors there are amazing.
Here's a photo of the bridge on Tom Sawyer Island. Well, that's what it was called for years. Now I believe they call it Pirates Cove.
and then another one of my family coming across one of the bridges there :-)
The same castle, decorated for Christmas. It was really cold that day :-) That's me and my daughter, Serena.
So pretty at night.
This photo is right next to my favorite ride. It's in the California Adventure park and it's called "Soarin' Over California. If you go to Disneyland, go on this ride!
I hope you've enjoyed these beautiful photos as much as I have. If you get a chance, please go by and say "hi" too. It's a new blog, and I know the 3 young people taking these photos would love the encouragement. I've provided a link on each of their photos :-)
Blessings,
Marcia

  1. Oh Marcia, these pictures are really lovely! I will go check out the blog.
And yes, our trip was really wonderful. If we lived down South, we would definitely get season passes. We are actually in a job search process right now and wonder if the Lord will open up a position for us somewhere in SoCal.
Maybe I will just go work in the costume department of Disneyland! Heehee!

    Have a beautiful day.

  7. It's been 11 years since we've been to the happiest place on earth. Our middle daughter was just 10 months old and our little one wasn't born (since she's only 9) Oh, how we desire to take the children again, it's just so expensive for 6!

  10. Such beautiful pictures, Marcia. I will go by their blog and say Hi.
The pictures make me homesick for Disneyland. We haven't been since our oldest graduated from HS. Oh my that was over 20 yrs. ago.
It used to be a really good date when I was in HS. Now it would be way too expensive.

  11. Never went to DisneyLand, but went to Disney World a handful of times.

Show me the person who can't have a good time at either and I'll show you someone with whom I can't get along.

  13. I have never been to Disneyland (not California either) but Disney World has always been one of my favorite places! I haven't been in so long and only Patrick got to go when he was 2 & 4 (Well Jeanne was a baby so that doesn't count!). I really want them to be able to go some time!
When I went with my husband for the first time, I was so excited and I kept saying, "Lets go on this ride; its my favorite!" I said that on every single ride! Haha!
Thanks for sharing and I will visit the blog! great pics!
