in southern California
Seems I've often heard that kind of talk before
It never rains in California, but girl, don't they warn ya?
It SNOWS, man, it SNOWS :-)
Okay, that's not quite the way the lyrics go...
but we're sure enjoying the fluffy white stuff around here.
I thought I'd share a little with you :-)
I thought I'd share a little with you :-)
This is my garden, and I pulled these from it today...
they'd been forgotten until I saw them peeking up in the snow.
The flowers from last week's post,
twins catching snowflakes....
desert views...
and snow covered palm trees!
I have another CSN giveaway coming for you soon :-)
In the meantime, we have a little more playing to do!

The snow in the desert is so beautiful. I remember it snowed a couple of times when we lived in Ore Grande! (1965)

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why but I love love pictures of flowers blooming underneath the snow. It somehow makes me think of people, how we too can bloom when under unusual and not so choice circumstances.

Now I have that tune in my head, I will be singing all night... Seems it never snows in southern California. Ha! I love it, I am freezing up here in MI.

Beautiful...we are having 60 degree weather here. Your blog looks great also...such pretty pictures
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I like better than the 4 photo mosaic, is the one of the twins. How cute!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe snow looks much prettier than the constant rain we have been seeing! Happy New Year, Marcia! Thank you for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteHi Marcia, you must live near my Brother, he's in the Desert and sent me his snowy day photos. Jealous I am, I'm hoping with all the rain we've had, we might get a nice freeze then wake up to snow. Thanks for your kind comments on my "paper trail" post. xoxo tami
ReplyDeleteps, now following your lovely blog.
We enjoyed snow last year. South Louisiana just does not get snow. But we do get our share of rain.
ReplyDeleteSometimes we feel like singing Rain, Rain, go away.
Your pictures are beautiful.
Now that is ALOT of snow! :)
ReplyDeleteI have to say I am absolutely thrilled that you will be joining me on the carriage ride destined for Royal Wedding Wednesdays. When I hit the "publish" button I had a momentary feeling of panic that my post would be met with only the sound of crickets chirping. It has been quite the opposite, so much so that I feel we have a kindred spirit/sisterhood sorority.
Here's to fairytales!
That is awesome, bet you were all so excited! We don't even have snow yet! Your twins are so cute! :D
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Marcia! I never knew that it snowed in SoCal!! How fun for you all! You've got as much on the ground there as we do here in SW Michigan! lol! But...more is coming for us this week....ugh. I'm your newest follower! Happy WW!
ReplyDeletexoxo laurie
Oh, how exciting for you! Too bad it didn't happen over Christmas. That would've been wonderful :)
ReplyDeleteI grew up in San Diego and never saw even one flake of snow... now I live in the south and see snow every year. Glad you got some to play in!
ReplyDeleteAll our snow has gone now. It seems like an age ago that it snowed here!!! Maybe we'll get more in February...that's when it usually comes in England.
ReplyDeleteYour twins look so gorgeous together like that. Having children makes me enjoy the snow all over again as an adult!
Sarahx
That is amazing! I didn't know it was snowing in Southern California! I bet your kids are enjoying it so much. :) The picture of the snow covered palm trees is incredible, by the way. I don't think I've ever seen that before!
ReplyDeleteThank you also for the sweet words about the mini wreaths, and for stopping by! And enjoy all that beautiful snow! :)
Blessings,
Jenni
Hi Marcia,
ReplyDeleteseems like you usually don't have any snow in your area..... but this is really the first "white" palm tree, I've ever seen!
Wish you a wonderful 2011 and also a nice rest of the week!
The snow in our area has finally begun to melt.....
Hugs
Birgit

Palm trees with snow is just weird! Strange weather lately everywhere. We got almost six inches of snow in Atlanta last night!! The city has shut down completely - so I'm catching up on my blogs :)
