I don't know if it's just me, but lately I've been having trouble reading
the laundry instructions for our new clothes and linens.
It seems that everything is in symbols.
The very talented Torie Jayne came to my rescue,
and did a post this week on this very thing.
I ♥loved♥ it and asked her if I could share it with you, (she graciously said "yes")
because I have a feeling I'm not the only one that is a bit lacking in
"laundry symbol" proficiency :)

Aren't they wonderful? She's created 3 different pages,
with many of the symbols you'll want to know.
What a great idea for the laundry room, or if you're like me,
and your laundry room is in the garage, just hang them up above your hamper.

You can find all 3 of them on her blog right here.
Be sure to tell her "hi" too :)
Thank you so much Torie Jayne!
Enjoy!!
Blessings,
Marcia

Remember when English was the default language for most things? Now, no one can agree....hence the universally understood pictures which no one can understand without help.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea.....have a nice sunday darling...love Ria....xxx...
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I have yet to notice these symbols. I love her frames and thanks for sharing, I will probably be seeing these symbols all over now!

It's true it is in some foreign language code thing. Those are too darn cute and what a great idea.
ReplyDeletesuch a clever idea and very handy to have in the laundry room.
ReplyDeleteOh man, I didn't see that they changed the tags...but then again, I haven't bought much lately that is fabric...great idea though!! and cute frames!
ReplyDeleteCute idea for the laundry room. They put so many tags and symbols on everything these days, but I don't pay much attention to them. The only choice of water temperature we have during the summer is HOT since water tanks are on the roofs. Hope you are having a great weekend. Tammy
ReplyDeleteWho knew?? I haven't come across those symbols yet, but I feel educated now. You are so right. Great art for the laundry room or hamper area. Those are just the cutest frames.
ReplyDeleteThis is so funny to me! I see now that I was very wrong about some of the symbols. I had been guessing at what they meant!
ReplyDeleteLove this idea! :) Beautiful frames, too.
ReplyDeleteJust want to say that I haven't had a whole lot of blog reading time lately but I just scrolled through and got caught up here. I adore this place! You always have such lovely photos and your blog always makes me feel good. :) Thank you for that.
As for Jordan...YAY!!! God is so good! :) I am thrilled with the progress that he is making and so thankful. :)
God bless! I'll be back SOON. ;)
Hmm..I haven't run across these symbols yet....only the old fashioned words. Thanks for sharing because I'm sure I will! And I do love how they look in your frames....what a nifty idea!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week, Marcia!

Thanks for sharing these, Marcia. I haven't seen these symbols yet, but it's probably only a matter of time so I'll save them for future use. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why these symbols are so hard to figure out, are you? But I'm glad your friend is helping us!
ReplyDelete=)
It seems like everything is getting just a little more difficult to decipher lately. One bit of good news though: they plan to put out a new food pyramid because the old one is too complicated for folks to figure out what to eat! I know, I'm way off laundry talk!

Hi Marcia,
ReplyDeleteOk...either I haven't been buying anything new or haven't been paying attention to labels. These symbols are completely new to me!!!!!! Sooooooo when I do see them....I'll really be on top of the game, huh? HA!

ReplyDeleteHope you're having a wonderful week. :)
What a wonderful idea !!
ReplyDeleteI agree, not alway easy to know what all these symbols mean.....
We can live in Italy and Norway, because my husband has his own firm, and must not do his work from Norway. He travelles a lot with his work, and does this just as well from Italy as Norway - so the best of both, is what I like to say ;)
take care - ciao
