Lovely blooms. Beautiful words. We don't have 4 seasons here and we've been flooded for many weeks now. All we see is floodwater everywhere so it's good to see beautiful sights even virtually. I enjoyed my visit. Thanks!
Marcia..this is the exact thought I had this afternoon out looking at the end of my blooms. I cherish them. Just a lovely, lovely post!! Thank you. Love, Mona
You're right- I love the first and last blooms the best I think! Hope you have a wonderful day. If you haven't popped over to sign up for yesterday's baby guessing contest-give it a try if you have a moment. xo Diana
a few days ago i picked {the last rose} of the season. beauty. your blooms are lovely - so much to look forward to in a few months when buds burst forth into blooming wonderfulness, hm? blessings...
Yes, mine look about like this. I almost had hubby clip them when he cleaned the yard last week, but you're right, they still have that 'slightly worn' autumn look and color and we don't have very much left. I hope you have a good week, Debbie
I concur! The frost came & stole the beauty from my blooms several weeks ago ... thank God for the hope of Spring! Loved this post! Thanks for sharing it!
I still have a few flowers blooming their little hearts out even here in the mid-west. I know it's only a matter of time before a freeze gets them, but for now I think they're the prettiest flowers yet! Great post.
I just came in from taking some garbage outside... stopped to admire my beautiful roses, still blooming:) It is so true, the last blooms are precious! Have a blessed day my friend, HUGS!
I think you have to live in the right climate to really understand this feeling. In California, flowers bloom all year long, so I'm not sure we appreciate them as much.
When we lived in Chicago for three years, I really got it!
Like the song says, You don't know what you got till it's gone.... Being thankful is so basic. Beautiful is only temporary like a short lived flower. JB
This is actually our blooming season since most plants can't handle the scorching heat we have most of the year; though they are predicting a very cold January. Only time will tell. Hope you are having a wonderful week. Tammy
So true, o so very cherished, those last blooms. I love the colourvariation in this 'bouquet' of late blooms. Thank you so much for visiting my blog. Love your blog! Bye, Marian
What a beauty you have! Winter came to us long ago, the snow knee-deep ... and -20 ° C

They're really pretty! Love the colors. They would look pretty cut in a vase on the table for Thanksgiving! Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeletePretty colors! I still have blooms and still have the heat. It's in the 80's here in Orlando. I would really like some cooler weather here. :)
ReplyDeletesuch very true words my friend...
