Breads and cakes, cookies and sweets,
time to start baking those Christmas treats :)
I've lost 15 pounds over the past 4 months,
(exercise and eating right really does work)
now the trick will be to keep it off during the coming month.
Wish me luck ;)
♥ I'm so glad I have lots of others around here to help gobble up the goodies ♥
Have a wonderful weekend dear friends.
Blessings,
Marcia
Hi Marcia
ReplyDeleteWell done on your weight loss, as for christmas goodies it is hard to avoid treating yourself just a little bit go on you deserve it
Take care
Denise
It's hard to NOT eat the goodies... good luck with that:) Have a blessed day, HUGS!
ReplyDelete6 years ago, I lost about 25 lbs in a 5 month period and have managed to keep it off until recently. Since I stayed in Kuwait this summer, and didn't get to do the walking I normally do in the States, I think that attributed to a little bit of weight gain. Plus the fact that I LOVE baking and have been eating more sweets than normal. Now that my sprained ankle is nearly healed, I can start walking in the evenings again and try to get rid of this expansion around my hips and waist. :) Happy holiday baking to you! Tammy
ReplyDeleteI agree Marcia!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post...let the baking begin!!!
And Christmas joy to you my friend xoxo

Big huge congrats on the weight loss...thats awesome!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou're ambitious! I won't be baking this year- need to curb the appetite when it comes to sweets- and I know I nibble WAY too much! LOL Have fun baking, Marcia~
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the loss-- that is wonderful. I find it tougher now that I'm in menopause. But soy milk is my new fav.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a Wonderful Thanksgiving, and yes, let the baking begin. I am enjoying your pins on Pinterest, isn't it fun?
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you and yours through this Christmas season of celebrating Christ.
It's difficult passing all hose Holiday treats but I'm sure that you will be able to resist. Congratulations on loosing the extra pounds. JB

ReplyDeleteAwesome on your weight loss! You know, I can't have sweets around, otherwise I eat them, and all it takes is one to get it going. No will power, so instead, I don't bake until I can control myself. Good luck! The holidays will be the hardest test but we are all here for you. Keep it up!

Job well done! I need to lose about 15 lbs.. This isn't the easiest time of year to do it. I do a lot of baking this time of year as well. Enjoy all your baking. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd so it has around here too! I actually tried my hand today on a Lord Baltimore cake. Oh man was it good!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Marcia! I'm on the path to making better dietary decisions myself, but I have a lot more weight to lose than you. I'm down 17 pounds. I made it through Thanksgiving.....only Christmas lurks ahead. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the baking part, too. I am laughing because I so want to bake today but we still have some sweets left from Thursday and I don't dare add anymore just yet. Have a wonderful Sunday. Patty
ReplyDeleteYUM -- I love baking and CHRISTmas is sure baking season. Congratulations on the weight loss and best of luck to you over the next month.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Gail
Oh mercy...I am not over the Thanksgiving eating!! I need to fast until Christmas! I won't, but I need to!!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's great Marcia. I hope you have lots of willpower for the next few weeks. I've been eating way too many sweets lately :(
ReplyDeleteThank you Marcia! It's a pleasure for me to know you and your blog!

Congrats on your weight loss Marcia, that's wonderful! I'm sure you will do really well through the holidays.
ReplyDeleteI haven't even thought about Christmas baking yet! We still have so many Thanksgiving leftovers....
I hope you enjoy the upcoming week, and have fun baking!! :)
Congrats on the weight loss. I'm aiming for shedding 10lbs by the end of the year. I figured if I can do it during December, I can use it to inspire myself throughout the year.
ReplyDeleteThat bread is calling my name though. :)
Much love!
Well done at losing some weight, I am on that journey too, but still have some more to lose before I get to my goal, hopefully we can both stay strong over the Christmas season and not indulge too much!
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you, lady! I sure could stand to lose a few pounds myself! Have a good afternoon.
ReplyDeleteLeticia

ReplyDeletegood luck! Let children help you to eat all the Christmas cakes))))
ReplyDeleteCakes and cookies. Sounds so tempting. And you have a wonderful reason to experiment with some low cal-baking. Happy baking :)
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely! Kitchen smells so good with Christmas in the air! Enjoy the fabulous day, Kellie xx
ReplyDeleteFantastisk!
ReplyDeleteLykke til videre :)
Jeg legger meg til som følger på den koselige bloggen din jeg.
Klem May Helen
I hear you, Marcia!
ReplyDeleteIt's even more important
to exercise and eat right
this time of year, isn't it?
And if we do, then I think
it's okay to splurge a bit : )
Enjoy your baking, and
thanks for coming by for
Monday Moments!
xx Suzanne
I bet you feel so great! And congratulations! Hard time of the year for me though. Too many treats around! Mimi
ReplyDelete15 lbs?!! Fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteI love to bake, but then I love to eat what I bake. It's not a good combination for me!
15 lbs! Good job!! I have no will power lately, but I need to find it because I think I gained over Thanksgiving and that's a big No-No. There won't be much baking for me because it's all too tempting for me to eat. Good thing I don't have a big mixer to make divinity. That's my favorite sweet at Christmas.
ReplyDeleteYou can do it....you can do it! BRAVO!
ReplyDeletenice post! thanks for sharing... God bless you...loves soraya
