Treat time :)

Breads and cakes, cookies and sweets,
time to start baking those Christmas treats :)

I've lost 15 pounds over the past 4 months,
(exercise and eating right really does work)
now the trick will be to keep it off during the coming month.
Wish me luck ;)
I'm so glad I have lots of others around here to help gobble up the goodies
Have a wonderful weekend dear friends.
Blessings,
Marcia

  3. 6 years ago, I lost about 25 lbs in a 5 month period and have managed to keep it off until recently. Since I stayed in Kuwait this summer, and didn't get to do the walking I normally do in the States, I think that attributed to a little bit of weight gain. Plus the fact that I LOVE baking and have been eating more sweets than normal. Now that my sprained ankle is nearly healed, I can start walking in the evenings again and try to get rid of this expansion around my hips and waist. :) Happy holiday baking to you! Tammy

  7. Congrats on the loss-- that is wonderful. I find it tougher now that I'm in menopause. But soy milk is my new fav.

  10. Marcia -
Awesome on your weight loss! You know, I can't have sweets around, otherwise I eat them, and all it takes is one to get it going. No will power, so instead, I don't bake until I can control myself. Good luck! The holidays will be the hardest test but we are all here for you. Keep it up!

  20. Congrats on the weight loss. I'm aiming for shedding 10lbs by the end of the year. I figured if I can do it during December, I can use it to inspire myself throughout the year.
That bread is calling my name though. :)
    Much love!

    It's even more important
    to exercise and eat right

And if we do, then I think
    it's okay to splurge a bit : )

  30. 15 lbs?!! Fantastic!!
I love to bake, but then I love to eat what I bake. It's not a good combination for me!

  31. 15 lbs! Good job!! I have no will power lately, but I need to find it because I think I gained over Thanksgiving and that's a big No-No. There won't be much baking for me because it's all too tempting for me to eat. Good thing I don't have a big mixer to make divinity. That's my favorite sweet at Christmas.
